Consumer Rights Act 2015
Terms of sale
Last updated 11 August 2026
These are the terms you buy on. Nothing here removes or reduces your statutory rights as a consumer — where these terms and the law disagree, the law wins.
1. Who you are contracting with
Goodboi & Co, a trading name of James Costen, sole trader, of 7 Two Riggs, Bishop Burton Road, Cherry Burton, Beverley, East Yorkshire, HU17 7SH. Contact: hi@goodboi.co.uk.
We sell to consumers in the UK who are 18 or over. We are the seller of record for everything on this site, including items dispatched directly from a supplier’s warehouse — your contract is with us and your rights are against us, not against them.
2. When the contract is made
Adding something to your basket does not create a contract. Neither does our order-received email, which only confirms we have your order. The contract forms when we email you to say the goods have been dispatched.
If we cannot fulfil an order — the item is out of stock, or a price was wrong — we will tell you and refund you in full. We do not charge you before dispatch for anything we cannot supply.
3. Prices
- Prices are in pounds sterling. Not currently VAT-registered (below the UK VAT threshold), so no VAT is added to these prices.
- Delivery is charged separately and shown before you pay. Nothing is added after checkout.
- There are no import duties or handling fees on any order, because nothing ships to you from outside the UK.
- Obvious pricing errors are not binding. If something is listed at a plainly wrong price we will contact you before dispatching and you can confirm at the right price or cancel for a full refund.
4. Delivery
Times, costs and the mixed-basket rule are set out on the Delivery & returns page, which forms part of these terms. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.
5. Cancellation and returns
Your 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, the hygiene exceptions, and how refunds work are all set out in full on the Delivery & returns page.
6. Faulty goods
Goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. The 30-day rejection right, repair-or-replace period and longer-term rights are set out on the Delivery & returns page.
7. What our products are and are not
Everything we sell is dog equipment, not veterinary treatment. Nothing here diagnoses, treats or prevents any condition, and we do not claim it does. Supplements are foodstuffs, not medicines. If your dog is unwell, speak to a vet.
Use products as intended and supervise your dog with them. Chews, toys and enrichment items wear out — check them and replace them when they do.
8. Our liability
We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for unforeseeable loss, or for business losses, since we supply to consumers for private use.
We do not limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
9. Complaints and disputes
Email us first — see Delivery & returns for our response times. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and you can bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings there.
