WCAG 2.1 Level AA
Accessibility
Last updated 11 August 2026
This shop is built to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. That is the standard, not a marketing line — below is what we have actually done and what we have not yet verified.
What is in place
- Every page works from the keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline on each interactive element and a skip-to-content link.
- Body and interface text meets the 4.5:1 contrast minimum; large display text meets 3:1.
- Semantic headings in order, landmark regions, labelled form controls, and breadcrumbs marked up as navigation.
- Status messages — like a basket failure — are announced to screen readers rather than only shown visually.
- Animation and smooth scrolling are switched off automatically if you have reduced-motion enabled in your operating system.
- Text reflows to 320px and can be zoomed to 200% without loss.
What we have not verified yet
Being straight with you rather than claiming a clean sheet:
- [Not yet tested end-to-end with VoiceOver, NVDA or JAWS — do this before launch]
- [Checkout is hosted by our ecommerce platform, so parts of its accessibility are outside our direct control — audit and note findings here]
- Product photography is not in place yet, so alternative text for product images still needs writing.
Tell us when it breaks
If something here does not work for you, email hi@goodboi.co.uk and say what you were trying to do and what got in the way. We will reply within five working days, and if we cannot fix it quickly we will tell you how to complete your order another way.
